Quantum Tutoring is located in the Champaign/Urbana area. We specialize in tutoring science and math, but we don't stop there. We are dedicated to giving personal assistance to students of all levels and ages. Whether the student is a young first grader struggling to read or a college student who wants to brush up on the nuances of calculus, they will get the individual assistance they require.

Courses and individual tutoring are given for kindergarden through college and even beyond. Tutoring sessions are generally held at Catherine's apartment in Urbana.

Sessions are $15 for half an hour, but at least an hour is generally most helpful to all but the youngest students. For students who are tutored continually, four weeks worth of sessions are paid for at one time in advance. Any unused prepayment will be refunded when a student decides to stop attending sessions. Students who choose to take a session only once in a while when needed can pay at each individual session. Cash and checks are accepted.

Please give at least 24 hours notice to cancel a session. For all cancellations without 24 hours prior notice, the student will be charged half the cost of the session.

At University of California, San Diego, ranked just outside the top ten engineering schools at #11 according to U.S. News and World Report, Catherine completed a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering with honors. While at UCSD, Catherine enjoyed tutoring high school students and instructing and assisting her colleagues in their coursework.

Catherine continued her education at University of California, Irvine, completing her Master of Science in Materials Science and Engineering with a 3.9 GPA in just one year. There she organized and led study groups and consistently received the highest grades in her courses.

Catherine has experience working in the engineering industry as an intern for several companies. Additionally, she has had experience in teaching while living as a missionary in Argentina. In Argentina, she taught English and religion to children and adults and learned Spanish fluently.
